Q: I have sent an e-mail to the website and have not recieved a response???

A: Check your SPAM or JUNK folder for the response. If it is in there, allow future e-mails from Segmentedwood.com to come into your regular e-mail inbox.

Q: I am a returning customer but I do not seem to be able to access my account??

A: We updated our website in May, 2012. Prior accounts were not copied into the new system. Unfortunately, you will need to take a few minutes to set up a new account. Thanks to all of our past customers, we appreciate your patience during this transition!

Q: Do you provide instructions with the Blanks?

A: We make and sell turning blanks. As every turner may have different equipment and a unique turning style, we do not provide specific instructions for the blanks. The only suggestions we make, are to use whatever methods you are most comfortable with, and are the safest for your skill level.

Q: I am a new turner, how can I learn how to turn segmented blanks?

A: Many turners find that researching turning techniques online, reading wood turning magazines, or joining a turning club are all useful for learning safe turning techniques. After all, safety is priority # 1 for us all.

Q: Do you accept credit card payments?

A: We do not accept credit card payments. If you wish to pay by credit card you need to select the Paypal option. Paypal provides excellent security for your payments.

Q: Can I pay by check or money order?

A: Yes. Submit your order and select this option. Mail the check or money order to the address given on the website. When we have received the check we will process your order and send you a confirmation e-mail.

Q: It has been 10 days and I have not received my order, what do I do?

A: We usually ship within 3 business days of receiving an order. We now ship Parcel Post with delivery confirmation. When the order is shipped we will send you an e-mail confirmation with the USPS tracking number. You can access the USPS tracking system online at https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction.action

Q: Do you take orders for custom blanks?

A: Unfortunately, we are not taking orders for custom blanks at this time. However, we have the ability to make slight modifications to our stock items. Just send us an e-mail using the Contact Us option on the Home Page of the website, carefully describe the modification you would like, and we will return a quote, and estimated delivery date to you via e-mail.

Q: The blank I am interested is currently sold out. Can it be back-ordered?

A: As each blank is handmade the manufacturing time is variable, so we do not accept payments for blanks that are not currently in stock. However, you can send us an e-mail and we will keep your request on file. When that particular blank is re-stocked we will send you an e-mail 24 hours before it is posted on the website so that you can have first shot at it.

Q: I have tried unsuccessfully to re log into my account. I have followed the instructions and have not received my new password.

A: First, check your e-mail SPAM file. If the password response is not there, send an e-mail to Segmentedwood via the CONTACT US section on the Home page of the website. We will look at your account and advise you if something else needs to be adjusted.
